My Last Week

So...here it is. I am in my last week at Salem Alliance Church. We have a Christmas Party tomorrow night and then on Sunday is my last Sunday to speak and to lead worship. It is not very real at the moment. It's hard to explain. Because at work it has felt like I have just been doing my job as I always do. Nothing different. Yet, I know that this is it. Strange. I know it will surely hit me pretty hard in a week or two. I am soooo thankful for the time that I have had to serve on this team at the Link and Salem Alliance Church.
What a privilege! I am dumbfounded at times when I think about it.
I really look forward to hear what God is going to do as life continues on at the Link and people continue to be open to what God has to say and do.

Bonehead Moment of the Week

So Wednesday night I was asked by a few students if I would do a new bonehead moment of the week. It's been a while I know. It's not that I haven't done any bonehead things...it's just that I keep forgetting to share them. So I was driving to the Seattlearea to speak at a camp Friday night and we (Jeanne-Ann, Kynzi, Karston and I) stopped to buy some stuff and take a potty break.
Well, they have one of those NO NORTHBOUND ramps only southbound ramps and so we had to go through the town we were in. We had gotten off at exit 104 in Washington. So I drive through town and I make the assumption that where I will get on will take me northbound. We are driving along and Jeanne-Ann and I are chatting and signing withthe kids and I ask her if she can think of any good bonehead moments. Suddenly I look at the next exit and it says 88. They go by miles in Washington and the numbers should be going up. I tell Jeanne-Ann that I hope this doesn't become my bonehead moment of the week. I was really hoping that the numbers were just changed or something. Well, there it was. The I-5 Southbound sign!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRR! I couldn't believe it! I had to turn around at the next exit and fix my 44 mile detour!
Oh well, just add it to the list. :)

7th Grade hangout at my place

So the last of the 7th graders just left. Again there were burgers and games and hot tubbing to be had. Rachel thought it might be nice to dip in with her jeans...or someone else did I am not sure. ;) PIT was crazy loud! Love that game. And I learned a lot from Evan about X-Box games. What fun we had!

6th Grade hangout at my place

It was a blast to hang out with the 6th graders last week. We laughed, played games, ate tons of junk and hot tubbed. then there were the cops. OK, only one cop...but it was still a cop that showed up at my house because the 6th graders were so loud and my neighbor thought Jeanne-Ann was in trouble.
It made for a great ending to a great time together. The cop had a good time with it too!
